PUBLICATION ETHICS

Jurnal Nusantara Madani is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—must adhere to the following ethical guidelines:

Authors’ Responsibilities

  1. Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and free from plagiarism. Proper citation and acknowledgment of the work of others must be given.
  2. Data Accuracy: Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented in their manuscripts. Fabrication or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.
  3. Multiple Submissions: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is unethical and unacceptable.
  4. Authorship: Only individuals who have significantly contributed to the research should be listed as authors. All co-authors must have agreed to the final version of the manuscript and to its submission for publication.
  5. Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
  6. Corrections: If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the journal and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

Editors’ Responsibilities

  1. Fair Play: Editors must evaluate manuscripts based on their intellectual content without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
  2. Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and other editorial advisers.
  3. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors must not use unpublished information in their own research without the explicit written consent of the authors.
  4. Decision-making: Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the manuscript's importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

  1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and may assist authors in improving their manuscripts.
  2. Promptness: Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a manuscript or know that a prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse themselves from the review process.
  3. Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
  4. Standards of Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments.
  5. Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. They should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

By adhering to these ethical standards, Jurnal Nusantara Madani aims to maintain the integrity and quality of the research it publishes, ensuring a trustworthy and respected resource for the academic community.
